Questions

Before your first visit

01

Does Dr. Hunter treat wrist and elbow problems, or only hands?

He treats all three. Dr. Hunter's practice centers on the hand, wrist and elbow, and he sees patients for trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, fractures and tendon injuries affecting any of these areas.

02

Is surgery always needed for trigger finger?

No. Trigger finger, a condition where a finger catches or locks as it bends, often improves first with splinting, activity changes or an injection. When those steps do not resolve it, Dr. Hunter offers in office, sutureless trigger digit release, a brief procedure done without an operating room or a traditional incision.

Do I need a referral to see Dr. Hunter?

No referral is required. Many patients come to Dr. Hunter through a primary care doctor or another physician, but you can also schedule directly at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance in Columbia, Tennessee.

04

Is Dr. Hunter accepting new patients?

Yes. Dr. Hunter is accepting new patients for hand, wrist and elbow conditions at Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance.
